Truth *is* stranger than fiction. Join Alice Wong of the Disability Visibility Project\u2122 and Dominick Evans as they co-host a Twitter chat about current reproductive technologies that will impact people with disabilities and a look back on <\/span>Gattaca,<\/span><\/i><\/a> a 1997 film starring Jude Law and Ethan Hawke that envisions a world where genetic imperfections can be eliminated before people are born. <\/span><\/p>\n The story centers on two characters: Jerome, a person with \u2018perfect\u2019 genes and an acquired disability, and Vincent, a person with \u2018imperfect\u2019 genes who faces a life of discrimination based on his \u2018invalid\u2019 status. <\/span><\/p>\n You don\u2019t need to watch <\/span>Gattaca<\/span><\/i> ahead of time to participate in the chat.
