The\u00a0Disability Visibility Project\u00ae started 3 years ago and encouraged over 200 people from the disability community to record their stories at StoryCorps locations across the country.<\/p>\n

As a community partnership of\u00a0StoryCorps,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0I am severely disappointed by reports of anti-union<\/span>\u00a0activities<\/a> by their leadership. I am in solidarity with the hard working staff members of this organization\u00a0who deserve recognition and representation, fair pay, and an improved workplace environment. They make each StoryCorps experience special by creating a safe environment so that people can be vulnerable and share their truths.<\/p>\n

Every person’s labor is valuable and that NO ONE is disposable. If the management continues their anti-union activities<\/a>, I will reconsider my affiliation with StoryCorps.<\/p>\n

For those of you in the\u00a0Disability Visibility Project\u00ae<\/a>\u00a0community who recorded your story at one of their booths or used their app, send a message<\/a> to their CEO Robin Sparkman\u00a0and founder Dave Isay\u00a0about your experiences and your position on workers’ rights. Tell them to recognize the StoryCorps union.<\/p>\n
