In partnership with the Disability Organizing Network<\/a>, the Disability Visibility Project\u00ae will be organizing and hosting a series of Twitter chats for Californians with disabilities about civic participation, community organizing, and disability rights. <\/span><\/p>\n

Join us for our first Twitter chat about current disability issues on Wednesday,\u00a0August 15, 2018, 3-4 pm Pacific<\/strong>. We want to hear what you care about in your local community and region. We also want to learn more about statewide concerns and how everyone can become involved and informed. <\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone is welcome to participate but please know the conversation will be focused on California issues. There are links below on how to participate in a Twitter chat if this is your first time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>CFILC<\/a><\/strong> Disability Organizing Network<\/strong> is a statewide disability advocacy network of 28 Independent Living Centers and the communities they serve. At the time of the chat, click on the \u2018Latest\u2019 tab for the hashtag #DOnetwork. This will show you the questions and everyone\u2019s responses in real time.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are overwhelmed by the amount of tweets and only want to see the chat\u2019s questions and respond to them, check @DisVisibility\u2019s account. The questions will be Tweeted every 5-6 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n
