As communities celebrate <a href=\"https:\/\/disabilityvisibilityproject.com\/2020\/05\/23\/staceytaughtus-syllabus-work-by-stacey-milbern-park\/\">Stacey&#8217;s life and work<\/a>, I invite you to share what Stacey meant to you. By adding your story about Stacey, it&#8217;ll become part of larger online archives for the DVP and StoryCorps.<\/p>\n<p>You are welcome to do this anytime and free to record on your own or with a friend. There are two ways to participate:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/disabilityvisibilityproject.com\/how-to-participate\/storycorps-connect\/\">StoryCorps Connect, a way for two people to remotely record together.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/disabilityvisibilityproject.com\/how-to-participate\/oral-histories-with-the-storycorps-app\/\">StoryCorps App, a way for people to record together from a mobile device.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A few things to keep in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The DVP may produce short blog posts and audio clips from stories submitted to StoryCorps.<\/li>\n<li>All recordings <a href=\"https:\/\/storycorps.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/206259317-Are-all-interviews-archived-at-the-Library-of-Congress-\">will also be archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stacey Park Milbern (1987-2020) recorded her oral history twice for the Disability Visibility Project, a community partnership with StoryCorps.
